FAQ

Please familiarise yourself with the information below before attending CHURCH IN-PERSON.

TICKETS

  • Our capacity is limited to ensure we can create a safe and socially distanced environment. Each week please book a free ticket online before you come to church, for each member of your household who is attending.
  • You will be able to book your tickets online at transformwidnes.church/inperson, or by by calling 0151 345 0558. If you have not reserved a seat, you can turn up on the day, but we can’t guarantee you admission. We’ll only be able to admit you if we have space.
  • Please only book tickets you will use so someone else doesn’t miss out.
  • Children and youth are welcome in the 9:30 or 11:00 service. Make sure they have a ticket and stay sat with you during the service. We do not currently have a Creche facility.
  • Doors open 15 minutes before the service starts. If you arrive after the service starts, we reserve the right to give your ticket away.
  • If you have booked a ticket but then aren’t able to make it please let us know by emailing hello@transformwidnes.church
  • If you miss out on tickets please register on the waiting list, if tickets become available, we will contact you.
  • When booking, we also collect your data for the NHS Test & Trace scheme as requested by the government. We will only share your name, contact number, date of attendance, arrival time and departure time with the NHS if requested.

INDOOR SERVICES

  • For the 9:30 & 11:00 please use the main entrance to St John’s Church. For Transform Kids please head to the Centre entrance. Hosts will be around to guide you.
  • Doors will open 15 minutes before the start of the service, so to avoid long queues please don’t arrive before then! It might take a little while for us to get everyone in safely, so thank you for your patience.
  • You’ll need to stay with your household in the queue and to stay two metres away from other groups.
  • You’ll need to have your own face covering (exemptions apply), ready to wear whilst you’re with us and take home with you after the service, we’ll have spare ones available on arrival if you’ve forgotten yours.
  • We’ll ask everyone to use the hand sanitisers as they enter the building.
  • A one-way system will be in place so please follow the instructions of the hosting team as they show you where your group should sit.
  • All our services will run for about 45 minutes.
  • Our 9:30 & 11:00 services will combine both live content as well as video content from Church At Home.
  • Singing together isn’t currently permitted under the government guidance, however we can engage in worship in other ways.
  • We won’t be passing around offering buckets or gift aid envelopes so if you’d like to give, we’d love for you to do that online if possible. We will have a box to place your offering into, located at the exit, if you wish to.
  • All surfaces will be sanitised between services.
  • If you have been diagnosed with or are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, if you have been in close contact with a person that has been diagnosed or is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, if you have been asked to self-isolate or if you have returned from international travel or have been in close contact with someone that has just returned from international travel in the last 14 days you should not attend. Please join us for Church At Home instead.

OUTDOOR SERVICES

  • Please head for the main car park at St Paul’s Church. For Transform Kids please head to the same place. Hosts will be around to guide you.
  • “Doors” will open 15 minutes before the start of the service, so to avoid long queues please don’t arrive before then! It might take a little while for us to get everyone in safely, so thank you for your patience.

  • You’ll still need to bring your own face covering (exemptions apply), to wear if you visit the toilet in the building, we’ll have spare ones available if you’ve forgotten yours.
  • We’ll ask everyone to use the hand sanitisers as they arrive.
  • A one-way system will be in place so please follow the instructions of the hosting team as they show you where your group should sit.
  • All our services will run for about 45 minutes.

PARKING AT ST PAUL'S

  • To help keep everyone safe the car park at St Paul’s will be closed for our outdoor services
  • Please arrive with enough time to find street parking around St Paul’s Church.
  • Free Parking is available on St Paul’s Road, Vicarage Road, Victoria Road, Emily Street, Widnes Road and at the Broseley House Car Park, off Widnes Road. See the map below for more details.

BUILDING

  • A one-way system will be in operation throughout the church – please do follow it!
  • Signage will be displayed throughout the church to facilitate social distancing and hygiene procedures.
  • Toilets will be open but there will be a limit to the number of people able to be in the bathroom area at one time to ensure social distancing. Please listen to the guidance of the hosting team.
  • Hand sanitising stations will be available at the entrance and exits of the church for you to use regularly.
  • We’ll be pinning some of the doors open so you don’t need to touch them.
  • We’re not able to provide refreshments at the moment, so please bring a bottle of water with you and take it home with you after the service. Please do not bring food on to the premises for hygiene reasons.

POST
SERVICE

  • In line with the current government guidance please avoid mingling with anyone outside the group you are with, even if you see other people you know and do not gather in groups of larger than six people.
  • If you (or someone in your household) start to experience any COVID-19 symptoms or receive a positive COVID-19 test result, please inform our team as soon as possible at hello@transformwidnes.church
